I really let myself play with this one. I thought my bag of scraps was getting a bit too full and decided to use some of it up with this quilt. It was inspired by the style of #ten, but completely improvised. I didn’t really like it at first because of all the white space on the lower right hand side, I tend to fixate on the negative:p But it’s become my most used quilt, probably because it’s warm.

The top is an actual quilt with a top, batting, and bottom quilted together. As part of my playing, I used yellow thread to quilt and I love it. I usually hate yellow but it made it all come together.

In my scraps bin I also had a yard of faux fur, I can’t remember when I bought it or what hobby I was working on. I attached the fur to the quilt by randomly adding stitches by hand all over. The final quilt is not a rectangle because the fur had a corner that was cut off.

The binding was made with 4 inch strips and I think that will keep the fur extra secure. I machine sewed the top of the binding and then hand sewed the bottom, just like my other quilts.
