This one was such a fun one to make. I bought some grid paper, sketched out some shapes and played with some colors. I have a Kona color card so I chose the colors I thought I wanted but when I went to the store, they somehow looked different than the tiny samples. Kind of like when I painted a room based on a swatch card and it didn’t look anything like how I had imagined it would. I’m glad I was able to go and see them in person before buying them (brick and mortar!), worth the road rage I experience driving through Cambridge traffic.

In real life, I’m not a color person. I tend to use a lot of blacks and neutrals. I’m loving playing with color with my quilts and seeing how different color combinations look. I think I’m realizing I am a color person, I’m just really, really picky. A pretty color brings me so much joy and an ugly color is revolting.

I realized after I finished quilting that I put the little yellow square on the wrong side. It was supposed to balance out the little pink triangle.

I quilted it with grids and I like how it turned out, I will be using that more in the future.
